Health

Clean water and a safe place to wash are things most of us never have to think about — and for families at the brick kilns, they're often the difference between staying healthy and a child missing weeks of school to illness.

Right now that means two things: hand pumps bringing clean water directly into seven communities, and a proper shower and restroom facility for families who've never had one.

Water Hand Pumps

Seven brick-kiln communities across Punjab — including Chak 311 and Chak 328, the same two communities where families are being freed under our Family Freedom Fund — still walk to fetch water that isn't always safe to drink. A properly drilled well and hand pump brings clean water directly into each community, all-inclusive: materials, skilled labor, permits, and safety supplies.

7 Brick-kiln communities getting a clean water source this year
$1,925 Total cost, one time, for all seven pumps
$275 Per well, all-inclusive — materials, labor, permits, and safety supplies

Sanitation House

At Brick Kiln 311 — the same community above — families have never had a real bathroom. This budget builds one complete shower and restroom facility: a private room with a shower stall, a squat toilet, a sink, and proper drainage, priced from an actual contractor quote rather than an estimate.

150 Square feet — a shower stall, toilet, sink, and private changing area
$3,359 Total cost, one time, fully built and equipped
1 The first real bathroom this brick-kiln community has ever had

Clean water and a safe place to wash aren't luxuries — they're the baseline every other kind of progress depends on.

Help a community stay well.

Every gift toward clean water or sanitation keeps a family healthy enough to do everything else — work, school, and simply thriving.
